Kit 03

Character Design I had to make for the academic institution I visit occasionally.

Kit was left behind at the age of seven, when her parents, along the other citizens, left the small city in a rush for nowadays unknown reasons.

Kit can't recall most of these events or who her parents were or what her actual name was. She calls herself Kit ever since she found a torn piece of KitKat wrapping and liked the way the letters looked on it.
Since no other person is around she has become practically mute and illiterate over the years and has partly forgotten about civilisation. She befriended with a little ferret that has become her pet and which helps her to fight the loneliness.
She found the skull of an antilope, which she wears as a mask. Its monotonous dead look is both useful for scaring of wild animals and hiding from the world and herself sometimes. Since she always feels safer wearing it, than without it, she has gotten so used to the skull, that she sometimes forgets that it isn't her actual head. She decorated the skull with two little bells she found in one of the abandoned houses. This way her pet always knows if she is near and also little girls simply like little bells.
Most of her day consists of killing time, for example by listening to the same record over and over again on the still functioning gramophone (Brand: „His Master's Voice“) and looking at old pictures she found, or taking a walk with her favourite walking cane, which she found in the mayor's office, and looking for food.
