Error In The System

The depicted heroine is obviously not fat, but the contest is "about the very real need to increase diversity and representation in media and how it presents female characters".

I am not really that big of a comic fan myself, but I am quite happy that these kind of discussions are going on right now both in the world of comics and videogames, since having meaningful and diverse characters of both genders is in my opinion a necessity to get acceptance from a broader audience and to become culturally important. It is also much more enjoyable for creators and storytellers if they have a full arsenal of character choices and are not restricted to one very specific bodytype. It is dull to see the same things over and over again and diversity is what enlightens us and broadens our horizon.
